What can one say about Phoebe? She is a true blonde! A bit silly, a bit ditzy but so loveable. She is the gentlest, sweetest girl we have ever owned, except when she is pushing everyone out of the way to get all the pats! Sitting in your lap is never close enough and if you stop patting her, well that just won’t do. She happily socializes and plays with everyone, human or otherwise, nothing fazes her. Phoebe is a bit of a talker too, greeting us first thing in the morning with a “boo woo woo” (she takes after her Grandma Juno) and replying when we talk to her. If you didn’t know her, you’d think she was almost growling at you as she makes quite a guttural, prolonged sound in the back of her throat. But its just her way of saying hello and her tail and backside is wagging constantly.

She’d rather talk to us than have her food, she’d rather sit with us and be patted than be with the other dogs, but when the sun goes down she can rumble with the best of them! Often instigating the play session, but ending up as everyone else’s chew toy and loving it. Phoebe has also inherited her mum and grandma’s instincts and is a fantastic mother. Extremely gentle, nurturing and loving, that’s just Phoebe’s way. Her and her sister Prada, still lick each other’s ears clean and won’t be seperated for long. They sleep together, eat out of the same bowl, whelp puppies together and help feed each others puppies. They are two very special girls, two peas in a pod.

Phoebe is a lovely fawn girl with ring presence, super movement, excellent pigmentation and a wonderful temperament. She has performed well at All Breeds shows and has consistently placed in the top 3 in her class at Specialty Shows in Qld, NSW & VIC. Phoebe has been shown sparingly in recent times as her show career makes way for motherhood.

She has produced some lovely puppies that have also done well in the ring, and she is a fantastic mum. She also mothers other puppies we have brought into our home and loves Sonny like one of her own.

Now retired and desexed, she spends her days sleeping with her sister Prada, chilling in the pool, on the lounge or rumbling with Sonny. As long as she is near you getting attention, she is more than happy. A gorgeous girl inside and out, we are blessed to have her as part of our family.

Our blonde bimbo is no longer with us but is remembered fondly and often.

“A real high quality animal with masses of potential. Lovely shape of head with good mouth, perfect ear carriage and expression. Superb pigmentation gives a very pleasing appearance. Excellent substance with good angulation and overall balance. Chest is both wide and deep. This pup promises to be a very high quality bitch when finally at full maturity.”
  • Minor Puppy in Show –Bullmastiff Club of NSW Championship Show, March 2008 Critique from breed specialist judge Ms. C. Wright (VIC)
“A lovely fawn bitch won the class today, well angulated front and rear, lovely straight front legs. I’d like to see a more pronounced stop, but for this age she still has good head and muzzle with excellent pigmentation. Good height to length proportions at this age. Lovely length of neck.  Moves well and shown well.”
